Delicious easy to make banana donuts. Made with your choice of streusel topping, chocolate or cream cheese frosting. This recipe is a winner!
For the donuts
11/2 cup AP flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 bananas mashed
3/4 cup of sugar
1/3 cup melted butter
1 egg slightly beaten
1/4 cream cheese soften (this is for the donuts not the icing)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly oil/spray your muffin pan
Mix dry ingredient together in a bowl: flour, baking powder, and salt
Using a large ziplock bag add the peeled banana and mashed ( watch video for illustration)
Add mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, cream cheese and eggs to a large bowl and beat until blended.
Add banana mix to flour mix and stir until just blended (do not over beat)
Pour batter into donut pan. Do not fill leave room to expand. 3/4 full is good
If making the crumb topping, sprinkle the streusel mix on top of the donuts now before baking.
Bake at 375 degrees for 18-20 mins. Donuts should be puffy at the top and leave no indention when touched. For these donuts I used a silicon donut pan. Very easy to use and clean. Here is the link if needed. (click) for donut pan. I do no receive any money for recommending.
Quick tip! Let the batter sit in the donuts pan for a few minutes to give it extra fluff. 😊
