INGREDIENTS

1 1/4 CUPS (21/2) STICKS OF BUTTER

2 1/4 CUPS OF ALL PURPOSE FLOUR

1 1/2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER

2 CUPS OF PACKED BROWN SUGAR

1/2 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR

3 LARGE EGGS

2 1/2 TEASPOON PUR VANILLA EXTRACT

4 Milky Way BARS

1 CUP SHORTBREAD COOKIES. YOUR FAVORITE BRAND

1/2 CUP PECANS (OPTIONAL)

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9x13 inch baking pan. Line the bottom of pan with parchment paper. If you dont have parchment use foil.

Melt your butter, microwave is fine. Set inside and let cool.

Whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.

In a mixing bowl combine both sugars and melted butter. Stir until combined. Attach bowl to mixer add eggs and mix till light and fluffy. This can take 3 minutes. You want an airy consistency. Add vanilla and continue mixing. Now remove from mixer and add flour by hand until mixed well. You don't want to see any flour.

In prepared pan add 1/3 of the batter. This is your first layer. There will be a total of three layers. Top first layer with chopped shortbread cookies and chopped Milky Way. Top this layer with more batter and repeat the cookie and bars step. Top with batter and your final layer will be cookies and bars.

Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes checking at 30min. Ovens vary this is why the time is not exact. Take a toothpick and insert into the middle of your pan. The toothpick should come out clean, no batter. Remove pan from the oven and let cool completely before removing. You can turn pan out and cut into desired size squares.
