What is it? Dalgona coffee has four main ingredients: instant coffee, sugar, hot water and milk. These ingredients are made into two layers: milk and a dollop of thick, pudding-like coffee mixture that floats on top. I have added a few options below. Grab a cup and enjoy!

2 Tablespoons of instant coffee
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of boiling water
1/2 tsp vanilla (optional but good)
1 cup of milk( non dairy almond, coconut etc will work fine as well)
Whip Cream (optional)
Brownie bits (optional)
ice cubes if making cold
Add all the coffee, sugar and boiling water in a bowl. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer and whip on one of the higher speeds.
Whip this mixture for about two minutes. Scraping the sides as you go. You are looking for a well mixed blend with no coffee bits,
Remember this will be a little strong but you will be adding milk. Add more sugar at this point if needed. Adjust to taste.
If you are doing ice coffee, add the ice to a tall glass and add the milk. If you are doing hot grab your favorite mug and add the hot coffee.
Now add the whipped coffee
Using your spoon or straw, stir vigorously to swirl it into your milk. Now enjoy!
For Matcha Dalgona substitute the coffee for matcha tea powder and continue recipe.
For Caramel Dalgona had some caramel syrup to the side or bottom of your glass/mug before adding the milk. You can also substitute the sugar for caramel syrup to make it less sweet
For Mocha Dalgona use 1 tablespoon of coffee and 1 tablespoon of coco powder. Got a few chocolate chip? add it to the cup with the boiling water.
For extra richness use half and half instead of milk. Be careful this will also add calories.😬
For non dairy substitute milk with almond milk, coconut milk, oatmeal or soy.
Add the vanilla flavoring for extra flavor. Caramel, coconut, hazelnut will work well too. Make it with passion and enjoy!
